How EZ Internet advertises, and what we will not do to win a click. This is a statement of practice, not aspiration; if you see us fall short of it, the last section says how to tell us.
1. We say who we are
Every ad and every page it leads to identifies EZ Internet as an independent retailer and comparison site. We do not present ourselves as a provider, do not imply that a page is a provider’s official site, and do not use a provider’s name in a way designed to make you think you have reached them. How we are paid is disclosed on the page, not buried in a policy.
2. Claims about coverage and price
Coverage claims come from the FCC Broadband Data Collection and we say so and date them. Prices are starting rates from published provider pricing, carry the date they were last checked, and are described as varying by address — because they do. We do not advertise a price that is unavailable at any address, and we do not present a promotional rate as a standard one.
Where the data has limits, we say so rather than paper over it. FCC coverage is reported by providers at the block level and can overstate availability at a specific address; that is why an order is confirmed by the provider before it is placed.
3. Provider marks in advertising
We use a provider’s brand terms in advertising only where our agreement with that provider and the advertising platform’s trademark policy both allow it, and the landing page always makes the retailer relationship unambiguous. We do not bid on a provider’s brand in a way that presents us as the provider.
4. Platform rules
We follow the advertising policies of the platforms we use, including their rules on misrepresentation, trademark use and destination requirements. A landing page of ours must be reachable, functional, load what it promises, and let a visitor get back out of it to the rest of the site.
5. Who pays for this
Our marketing is paid for out of commission earned when an order we place goes live. No provider directs our advertising, and no provider pays for placement in our comparisons or rankings, which are driven by FCC data and published pricing. A provider we cannot sell is still shown at your address when the data shows it there.
6. Complaints about an ad
If an ad of ours is inaccurate, misleading, or appeared somewhere it should not have, send the ad text or a screenshot and where you saw it to admin@ezinternet.services. We would rather hear it from you than from the platform.
