The quick answer
Where Spectrum serves the address, Spectrum Internet® starts at $30/mo for 1 year (Internet 100, 100 Mbps); the 500 Mbps tier is $40/mo and the 1 Gig tier $60/mo. New Internet customers can also take a free Unlimited Mobile service for its first 12 months. In a bundle of two or more services the three Internet prices fall to $20, $30 and $40 respectively, and the price guarantee grows from 1 year to 2 or 3. The sections below take each offer in turn, with the conditions Spectrum attaches to it.
Internet prices, and what happens after year one
Spectrum currently offers three residential Internet tiers:
- Spectrum Internet® 100 — 100 Mbps — $30/mo for 1 year
- Spectrum Internet® 500 — 500 Mbps — $40/mo for 1 year
- Spectrum Internet® 1 Gig — $60/mo for 1 year, with Spectrum Advanced WiFi included at no extra charge
Each of the three includes a free modem, unlimited data and no contract. When the promotional year ends, Spectrum’s standard rate takes over; Spectrum confirms that rate when you order, so budget for a change from month 13. The 1-year guarantee tells you exactly when it comes.
Advanced WiFi, Spectrum’s whole-home router service, costs $10/mo on Internet 100 and Internet 500, comes free with Internet 1 Gig and is included free in any bundle. WiFi Extenders are $5/mo each and require Advanced WiFi, which helps in a big home or one with dense walls.
The multi-gig tiers carry prices as well: $80/mo for 2 Gig and $140/mo for 7 Gig, in select markets only. Whether a given address is in one of those markets is something Spectrum confirms address by address, and we can ask on the call.
The free Unlimited Mobile service and its limits
Order any Spectrum Internet plan and one Spectrum Mobile® Unlimited service can be added free for its first 12 months. From month 13 the standard Unlimited rate applies, which is $30/mo per line with two or more lines on the account and $40/mo for a line on its own.
The offer terms set four conditions:
- Limited to one promotional line per account. One free service per household; they do not stack.
- Auto Pay is required for the discount to apply.
- Tablets are excluded. The offer covers phones, not tablets or smartwatches.
- Spectrum Internet® is required. The free service lasts only while Internet service stays active.
The service includes unlimited talk, text and data nationwide over 5G; data runs at full speed for the first 30 GB per line, and hotspot speeds drop after 5 GB of hotspot use.
In short: if you are ordering Spectrum Internet anyway, the service is free for the first year. If you plan to stay with another mobile carrier, work out what month 13 will cost, because after the promotion the service is not free.
How the $1,000 Savings Guarantee is measured
The offer: bring Internet plus two or more mobile lines to Spectrum from Verizon, T-Mobile or AT&T, and Spectrum guarantees you will be ahead by at least $1,000 in your first year compared with what you paid before. Should the savings fall below that, Spectrum credits the difference to your bill.
Step by step:
- Your order covers Spectrum Internet and two or more Spectrum Mobile lines, with at least two numbers ported in from one of the three eligible carriers.
- Within 60 days of installation, you send Spectrum recent bills from the Internet and mobile companies you left, for the comparison.
- Spectrum calculates the first-year saving. If it reaches $1,000, that is the end of it; if not, the shortfall is paid as equal monthly bill credits over the first year.
- Internet and Mobile must both remain active for the whole year, or any credits still to come are forfeited.
Spectrum measures against comparable services, meaning Internet, WiFi and Mobile, with taxes and fees counted. Mobile customers of any other carrier are not eligible.
Whether it pays out for you depends on your current bills. Call (833) 390-3014 and we can go through them before you decide anything.
What a TV bundle includes
One of Spectrum’s advertised TV combinations is Internet 500 + Stream TV Signature, $130/mo for 2 years. It breaks down like this:
- Spectrum Internet 500 (500 Mbps): $30/mo inside the bundle, against $40 standalone
- Spectrum Stream TV® Signature: $100/mo for 1 year, standard rates after that, with 150+ channels and included streaming apps that Spectrum values at about $114/mo: HBO Max Basic With Ads, Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited, Paramount+ Essential, Peacock Premium, discovery+, FOX One, AMC+ with Ads and ViX Premium with ads
- Advanced WiFi from Spectrum, free in all bundles
- A Xumo Stream Box for the length of the bundle term
- A 2-year price guarantee, where standalone Internet gets 1 year
Pairing Internet 1 Gig with Stream TV Signature instead comes to $140/mo, with the same 2-year lock, and adds Cloud DVR Unlimited at no extra charge.
Under contract with a TV provider now? With qualifying TV + Internet packages, Spectrum’s Contract Buyout of up to $500 goes toward early termination fees. It pays the ETF only, so equipment return fees your old provider charges are yours to cover. Tell us your situation and we can check.
Phones not yet paid off at your mobile carrier? Spectrum’s Phone Balance Buyout of up to $2,500 per account applies once two or more lines move to Spectrum Mobile with two or more numbers ported in. Terms apply; see the required disclosures below.
When an offer may not suit you
Each offer fits some households better than others. Here is where the terms can work against you:
The free mobile service may not suit you if your family is on one carrier’s plan and content there. One Spectrum service would split the household across two carriers. It suits a household that is moving all of its mobile service.
The Savings Guarantee does not apply if your mobile carrier is not Verizon, T-Mobile or AT&T; those three are the only eligible ones. A single line does not qualify either; two or more must switch.
The TV bundle may add little if you subscribe to most of those apps on your own and are happy running them that way. The apps belong to the TV tier, so cancelling the tier ends them.
The 3-year lock matters less if you may move within three years. With no contract and no cancellation fee, the lock guarantees the price without obliging you to stay. If you expect to move, a standalone plan with its 1-year guarantee keeps you freer.
How an order through us works
We are an independent authorized retailer, and Spectrum orders can be placed with us by phone at (833) 390-3014. The call has three parts:
- Address check: we ask Spectrum what it offers at your street address, since a ZIP-level result is not a yes.
- The numbers: we read you the promotional price and the rate that follows it, show what a bundle would change and explain the free Mobile service. The choice is yours.
- The order: it is sent to Spectrum, and from then on billing, installation and equipment are between you and Spectrum.
The price is Spectrum’s advertised residential rate; we do not add to it, and Spectrum may pay us a referral fee when you sign up. There is no obligation to order, and if an offer does not fit your situation, we will tell you.
