What decides streaming versus satellite?

Mostly the internet connection at your address. DIRECTV via Internet streams to any TV on the Gemini device, with no dish, but it needs steady broadband, and the FCC coverage data behind our ZIP search lists the internet providers that report service where you live. DIRECTV via Satellite uses a dish instead, carries more channels in each package and is sold with a 2-year price guarantee. We weigh the two against your address on the call.

Is my ZIP code enough to tell?

Not for TV. The FCC data covers internet service only, and what DIRECTV offers in local channels, sports and On Demand varies by address. So the full address is looked up while we talk, and you hear what it gets before anything is ordered.

Does someone come to install it?
