Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Short version: this website runs one tag, Google Ads, and it sets no cookies unless you accept them. By default no analytics, advertising or preference cookies are set, and this page says exactly what changes if you choose “Accept all”.

1. What we store on your device

No cookies, unless you accept them (see section 3). By default the only thing this site stores on your device is your answer to the consent notice on our Spectrum pages. It is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name ezi-consent (“accepted” or “essential”) so the notice does not ask again. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to us, and clearing your site data removes it. EZ Internet has no accounts, no logins, no shopping basket and no forms that save what you typed. Your ZIP code is passed in the address bar to produce a results page and is not written to your device or retained against an identity.

WordPress, which this site runs on, sets cookies for logged-in administrators. That applies to our own staff in the admin area, never to a visitor reading the site.

2. What we do not run

We run no Google Analytics, no heatmaps, no session recording and no third-party chat widget. The one tag we run, Google Ads, is described in section 3.

3. The Google Ads tag

Since October 10, 2026 every page of this site loads the Google Ads tag (gtag.js) for our Google Ads account. It runs under Google Consent Mode, set to deny advertising and analytics storage by default for every visitor:

  • Until you choose “Accept all”, the tag sets no cookies. It sends Google only signals that carry no cookie identifier, and it passes the ad-click identifier between our pages in the page address so that a visit from one of our ads can be counted.
  • Phone calls. After a click on one of our ads, the tag may show a Google forwarding number in place of our number, (833) 390-3014, so that a call from that visit can be counted as a conversion. The call still reaches us; Google records details such as the call’s time, length and the caller’s area code for that count.
  • If you choose “Accept all”, Google may set its advertising cookies (for example _gcl_au and _gcl_aw) to measure which ads lead to visits and calls, and may use that measurement for ad personalization. “Essential only” keeps everything denied.

Google handles this data under its own privacy policy, and you can control ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

4. Third-party requests

Some pages load fonts or scripts from third-party networks so the site renders correctly. Those requests reveal your IP address to the network serving the file, as any web request does, and are governed by that provider’s own policy. They are not used by us to identify or track you.

5. Your browser controls

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for any site. Because we set none unless you accept them, doing so will not change how this site behaves. Links to external provider websites lead to sites with their own cookie practices, which we do not control.

6. Changes

Before any new cookie or tag goes live, this page is updated to say what it does and how to refuse it. Last change: October 10, 2026, when the Google Ads tag was added.
