ENTERTAINMENT streaming costs $59.99 for month one against a base price of $89.99/mo.; Genre Packs cost $20.99–$64.99/mo.; satellite packages cost $89.99–$169.99/mo. for 24 months. None of those include taxes, the $10/mo. device or TV Access fee, or the Regional Sports Fee of up to $23.99/mo. on CHOICE and above.
What sits outside the advertised price
DIRECTV quotes its prices without taxes or required fees. Two of those fees carry most of the weight. First, a $10/mo. fee, which is the Gemini lease on streaming or the TV Access Fee on satellite. Second, from CHOICE upward, a Regional Sports Fee that depends on the market and can be as much as $23.99/mo. On satellite there is also a one-time $49.95 activation fee, and the advertised satellite price assumes autopay and paperless billing.
You can see it in DIRECTV’s own fine print for satellite CHOICE: “$118.98/mo. w/req’d $10/mo. TV Access Fee & Regional Sports Fee of up to $23.99/mo.” The figure you pay can sit well above the headline.
Streaming prices (DIRECTV via Internet)
There is no annual contract on streaming, and a 5-day free trial comes first. The first month is $30–$40 below the base price, and smaller discounts continue through month 24:

Satellite comes on a 24-month agreement with a 2-year price guarantee, so the advertised rate stays for both years, a promise streaming does not make:

In September 2026, eligible new customers can add 3 months of premium networks free (STARZ, HBO Max, MGM+, Cinemax and Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, worth roughly $175), 2 months of the Movies Extra Pack + Peacock (worth $19.98, on ENTERTAINMENT or higher), and, on qualifying streaming packages with a Gemini device, Disney+, Hulu and the ESPN Unlimited plan.
