What ADT monitors
Security is not a coverage question the way internet is. Alarm monitoring has no FCC coverage filing to check, and ADT needs no particular wired network at your address, since the panel can report over its built-in cellular connection. What changes from home to home is the equipment, the quote and the agreement. Here is what each part does.
ADT staffs six UL-certified monitoring centers in the U.S., built to cover for one another, so an alarm is still answered if one center is offline. The panel's cellular connection keeps it reporting when your broadband is down.
